Cowboys-20 Giants-15

Usually I trash talk the Giants more but the Cowboys are just mid enough to lose to them. Thankfully, the Giants gave Daniel Jones $40 million. Malik Nabers might be the truth but we will never know until they get a real quarterback today.

Saints-24 Falcons-26

Kirk Cousins owes Younghoe Koo some of that money in my opinion. Heading into the season, the consensus was the NFC South getting one playoff team but who knows? Maybe they get three teams in the playoffs as the NFC South becomes the SEC East. In the name of Paul Finebaum we need it.

Bears-24 Rams-18

The Rams started off last season cold as well so maybe they’ll heat up again. However, Matt Stafford is 36 and not getting any younger and who’s to say he does not get injured again like 2022. Stafford is tough as nails but father time is undefeated.

I think the national media focusing their attention on Jayden Daniels right now is great for Caleb Williams because he can now play with less pressure. Expectations have been sky high for him and now he can just focus on playing. The Bears are in a tough division so they need to just focus on improvement.

Vikings-31 Packers-29

The worst type of loss in my opinion is when your team is getting blown out then comes back to lose. If your team is getting blown out, you’ve accepted it and moved on in most instances during the fourth quarter but when they comeback you’re holding onto that glimmer of hope.

On the brightside for Green Bay, Jayden Reed is looking like a star. The Packers historically don’t draft receivers in the first round but when you hit like Green Bay, I understand. The Packers found Donald Driver, (round 7) Pro bowlers Greg Jennings, Randall Cobb, Davantae Adams and Jordy Nelson in round two along with Reed.

Reed has already had two 100-yard games this season and is on pace for 1,400 yards at the moment.

Colts-27 Steelers-24

Earlier this century, this game might have been the CBS late game or on primetime as two teams loaded with Hall of Fame talent duked it out.

The jury is still out on both teams but I expect them both “in the hunt” later this season when 13 AFC teams are still in the running.

Justin Fields may not be in the running for Comeback Player of the Year thanks to Darnold but the improvement is clearly there. On the Bears, Fields was sacked on 12% of plays and that number has dropped to 8. Fields has also increased his passing yards per game from 166 in Chicago to 207 this year. His completion percentage has risen from 60% in Chicago to 70% this year along with his yards per attempt jumping from 7 to 7.6.

Joe Flacco is still elite at football as well.

Broncos-10 Jets-9

We as a society would have been better off playing the 1998 AFC championship than watching this game. Elwaythrew for 173 while Terrell Davis ran for 167 as the Broncos defeated the Jets 21–10 at Mile High Stadium.

I feel bad for Jets fans because being in the New York market puts all of their problems under a microscope. Robert Salah and Aaron Rodgers seem on the verge of a heated sideline argument and the majority might side with Rodgers because Salah might have worse PR than Eric Adams at this moment.

Rodgers can still make some of his throws but he does like 40 very freuqneutly during the game.

Bucs-33 Eagles-16

Let me start by saying congrats to Baker on another great game. We are probably very close to him being back in every commercial which is when people will probably turn on him again.

Speaking of coaches and quarterbacks having friction, Jalen Hurts and Sirianni would be perfect in a buddy cop film. These two do not seem to be the best of terms and I just think back to the Super Bowl when Siranni was doing some weird gesture and Hurts did not approve of it. Then again, the Eagles lockerroom seems to have friction every three years, dating back to Chip Kelly’s last year in Philadelphia. The Eagles have had a boatload of success in the last decade but with a lot of disfunction it appears.

Bengals-34 Panthers-24

The Bengals got their first win of the season and this is not college football so it is not weighted. Cincy could go on a run, but their margin for error is razor-thin. The Bengals have already lost a tiebreaker to the Chiefs if it comes down to a wildcard and they trail the Ravens by one game and Pittsburgh by two games. With the Giants, Browns, Eagles and Raiders coming up, this is when the Bengals make their run if they are serious.

Texans-24 Jags-20

I still believe in you Trevor Lawrence. Quarterbacks have long careers and lets remember Steve Young and Drew Brees did not get settled in until 30. I say that to say Trevor Lawrence will be better than both of them obviously and have a statue outside every NFL stadium.

Malik Nabers is getting all the attention, but Brian Thomas jr is another solid LSU receiver. I cannot quiet pinpoint the issue but I feel like the talent is there.

Commanders-42 Cardinals-14

Jayden Daniels is looking fantastic so far so hopefully he can keep it up. I am worried they are building him up too much just to turn on him but we will see. Daniels is currently on pace for 3,800 passing yards and 900 rushing yards.

I don’t know how to explain it but it feels like Arizona’s passing games gets worse every week. Despite this, Marvin Harrison jr is on pace for over 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns but something feels off. The Cardinals offense looked good vs the Bills and we all think the Bills are a contender so it is confusing to see them regress.

Niners-30 Patriots-13

No CMC, No problem as Jordan Mason rushed for 123 yards and Jauan Jennings led the Niners with 88 yards. On an offense loaded with stars, who would have thought those two would lead the Niners in yards?

Brandon Aiyuk is now the Niners number-three receiver now which is scary for both the opposition and the Niners. Aiyuk is on pace for around 700 yards and has yet to reach the endzone but he might have a hattrick any day.

The New England Patriots are indeed a football team.

Raiders-20 Browns-16

The Raiders just seem stuck somewhat as they have won 6–10 games since 2019 but just not good enough to reach that next tier. The Raiders are 2–2 so maybe they can scrap a few more wins to a wildcard but Gardner Minshew and Zamir White might not be enough.

The Browns have the talent but Nick Chubb is still hurt and Deshaun Watson is terrible now. I have never seen someone have their skills taken like that since the Monstars in Space Jam so it is amusing to see.

Chiefs-17 Chargers-10

As cliched as it sounds, the Chiefs just find ways to win. As long as Mahomes and Andy Reid are there, your chances of winning are slimmer than your chances of defeating Scott Steiner at Sacrifice.

Herbert is averaging just under 23 pass attempts per game which is much lower than his usual average of 38. With the Chargers on bye, I wonder if they transition to more of a passing attack but Jim Harbaugh loves running the football. Despite the fact he played QB in the NFL. In 5 years of NFL coaching, Harbaugh has ranked last and second to last in passing attempts twice and is currently last this year. Can the Chargers get by throwing around 28 times a game or will Harbaugh need to change his approach?

The Niners ranked last in pass attempts last season but still finished 4th in yards so it can be done but the Chargers personnel is obviously not the Niners.

Ravens-35 Bills-10

What a stinker of a Sunday Night game. This may be nothing longterm for the Bills but you have already lost a tiebreaker and both these teams are vying for supremacy alongside Kansas City.

Running backs typically fall off after rushing for 2,000 yards and after turning 30 but Derrick Henry keeps chugging. Most of the time, running backs will peak at 4.5 ypc after hitting 2K but Henry is currently at six yards a carry. The only way a running back can win MVP in recent years is running for 2K or breaking the touchdown record and Henry is on pace for 2K again this season along with 25 total touchdowns. After ending one of Lamar Jackson’s MVP campaigns in 2019, Henry might be making up for it this season.

Titans-31 Dolphins-12

The Dolphins are not a football team without Tua. I do not know how much this helps Tua in negotiations but you cannot feel too confident about finding another quarterback at this moment. Credit to the Titans but the Dolphins offense we have come to know since Mike McDaniel arrived has not been clicking at all. Last season, the Dolphins averaged 29 points a game and this season it has dipped to 11. McDaniel is probably hitting the vape extra hard right now.

Lions-42 Seahawks-29

Hot take but I think both of these teams and QBs are good at football. If I had to nitpick Jared Goff, its that his interception % is up to 3.2% when it is historically, below 3% every year outside his rookie season. Jameson Williams is becoming a great 2-receiver to St. Brown and we all know the RB tandem of Montgomery and Gibbs comes to play every week. Next up for the Lions is Dallas so I expect 200-rushing yards and a Jared Goff bootleg. Maybe a fake Williams end around screen to Gibbs or St. Brown crosser for 40 yards.
